News & Changes
New browser based login
- CET now uses a secure browser-based login for signing in.
Your Guide to the New Login and Sign Up Experience
Drawing Tool changes
-
The Ruler tool in the 3D view has been improved. It now shows more clearly where it’s pointing, and the Z value is displayed separately, making it easier to measure height differences between objects.
Using Drawing Aids -
Snapping in 3D has improved. Previously, it often failed to detect 3D objects, but it now finds them automatically by default. Keep in mind that snap points are only as accurate as the 3D models themselves, unless the manufacturer provides more precise data. A helpful note appears when snapping to points that haven’t been explicitly defined by the manufacturer.
-
Reusing your dimension settings is now as simple as copy and paste. When you paste a single (non-chain) dimension, you can adjust its length while keeping other properties, such as style and categories. This also works when inserting a favorite that contains a single dimension. If you want to keep the original length and orientation, you can enable the “Keep length” option in the properties box.
- 3D Drawing tools from the Tools Extension now show a preview in the 3D view while being drawn.
- Updated the Help dialog text in the Tools Extension for 3D Drawing tools, Construction, and Replicate to make it clearer and more accurate.
Error Load dialog
- Introduced a redesigned and unified error dialog with clearer crash information, improved diagnostics and support tools, resizable layout, text wrapping, and consistent behavior for load and background errors.
Office Accessories - Visual & Catalog changes
-
We’ve significantly improved the Office Accessories Extension to deliver a more modern and realistic visual experience, along with a broader product selection.
What’s new:
• Enhanced graphics for many accessories
Updated models and materials better reflect real-world products.
• Built-in lighting and shading
Objects now include built-in lighting and shading effects, creating more realistic depth and lighting in typical office layouts.
• Updated designs for existing products
Outdated accessories have been refreshed to match current design trends.
• New office accessory products
Additional decorative, stationery, and appliance items have been added to expand design options.
• More color and material options
Many accessories now include additional color and material choices, giving designers more flexibility to match brand and interior schemes.
Navisworks available without separate License
Now possible to export to Navisworks from the ‘Export Drawing’ dialogue in all CET editions without installing the Navisworks Extension or adding a separate license.
Improvements
Calculation related enhancements

- The previous “Catalogs Not Yet Downloaded” dialog has been replaced with a non-blocking warning banner to improve how missing catalogs are communicated and reduce user disruption.
