The purpose of this article is to explain how to export your project as a SIF or directly into Spec.
There are three ways to export your project's information: SIF Export, a Spec shortcut, and Order Export.
Spec Shortcut
The Spec shortcut is the quickest way to export your project's information.
To open a PMX directly in Spec from CET Commercial Interiors, follow these steps:
- Click the Spec icon/button
- Left of the Calculation dollar value
- Spec will launch with your project's information
- Save the PMX file to a desired location

- Open Calculation by clicking on the total dollar value in the top right corner
- Click File → Order export ...
- Use the Export format dropdown to select PMX Export or Configura SIF

to update the Export url: The SIF will save to this path.
- Optional: Specify Filter Settings to control what is exported.
- Optional: Click Settings to enable "Use manufacturer specific export"
- Click Export
Project Information
Project information can be transferred from CET into Spec using the Project Information dialog found in the Tools menu. The information will be transferred to the fields as indicated in the images below when the View Part in Spec button or the PMX export are used to export the project. This information will not be exported using the SIF formats.
The fields will transfer as follows.
The Revision Number field will show "CET" indicated that the information came from CET.
While some fields sync across multiple Project Information tools, some data from manufacturer specific Project Information tool may not transfer.
