Being on the Flooring Extension tab in CET will activate two new View Modes, which give you full control when designing, editing and installing floors.
The Flooring view mode is for designing, as it lets you see installation patterns and products, whereas the Install view mode is intended for just that - installing tiles, as it shows tile direction, cut outlines etc.
Both these view modes can be edited to have them show what you want. To edit them, right-click on the Flooring or Install view mode button at the bottom of your CET window, and select/deselect the following options:
- Show tile textures in 2D-view – when checked, tiles will display their real color and texture.
When unchecked, tiles will show their schematic color, as set by you, or the default for the tile. - Show installation pattern – when checked, flooring surfaces will display their installation patterns, which look like grids. These are the outlines of the tiles themselves. When unchecked, the patterns are not shown, making the tiles look seamless. Affects both the 2D and the 3D View.
- Show tile direction – when checked, installation patterns will display the direction of each tile. Only affects the 2D View.
- Show cut tile outline – when checked, installation patterns will display the outlines of tiles that have been cut. These tiles are the parts of tiles that extend past the floor as it is drawn, and are cut off and removed by an installer. When this is set to be shown it is possible that the drawing could get very busy with overlapping outlines when two floors are side-by-side. Only affects the 2D View.
