The Product Legend shows all the products that are in the drawing, their part number, their size, and other information, such as the name of the pattern that you're working with, the number of tiles and the area of those tiles.
A drawing can contain one or multiple legends, set to show the information that you specify.
The Product Legend is resizable and customizable as different details or statistics can be toggled on/off in the Quick Properties box by first selecting a Product Legend:
Filter by tag – If you are using Part Tagging in your drawing, you can filter the product legend on the tag, enabling legends to be area based. The 'No filter' option shows all tiles in your drawing; regardless of tags.
Group – This dropdown lets you filter a legend on product groups; as specified in the product catalogues.
Product – If you are using more than one color from the same group of flooring products, this dropdown lets you filter a legend on Product.
Thumbnail – Use these buttons to have your product thumbnails show as either Color or Texture.
The following properties can be set to either Show or Hide in the product legend:
Gross – The total area that is covered; including the area of cut tiles outside of the flooring surface's boundaries.
Net – The total area that is covered; not including the area of cut tiles outside of the flooring surface's boundaries.
Waste – Unused parts of tiles that are cut.
No. of tiles – Total number of tiles on the flooring surface, with cut tiles in parentheses.
Area – The area each flooring product covers.
Is your Product Legend showing both Imperial and Metric units of measurement? This color-coded image will help explain why.
In the example below, all areas are in square-meters as that is our Region setting, while flooring products are listed either in feet or centimeters as those are our Flooring settings:
Since most designers are probably not mixing Imperial and Metric products this scenario is not very likely, but we wanted to mention the possibility of this happening.
