If you want to add 3D text to a wall, for instance a company name, you can use the Place text on wall component found on the Wall Drawing component tab:
To use this component, start by placing a straight wall, then follow these steps:
- Left-click the 3D text icon and release.
- Move the mouse pointer towards the wall in the 2D or 3D drawing area. The 3D text component snaps to the wall. It can also be used as a freestanding component and can be placed anywhere in the drawing without attaching to a wall.
- Type your text, set the distance from the edge of the wall, and set your elevation in the green properties box.
- When in the desired location, click once to place the wall.
Edit your the text, style, size, elevation, and more in the properties box that appears when the text is selected. You can also use the yellow stretch nodes in the drawing to adjust the size and elevation of the text. Click and drag the text to move the placement along the wall.
Use the Material Explorer to apply a color or texture to the text.

How can you rotate/pivot free-floating text? Best way I could figure out is to place a wall, put text on it, then set the walls opacity to 0%.
Hello Joel,
You can try using the rotation tools available in the 2D toolbar.
