To place an industrial door in an existing wall, follow these steps:
- On the Wall Drawing component tab, select the Roller Door or Sectional Door tool.
- Move the door into the drawing area. It snaps in line with the existing wall. These doors will only apply to a straight wall, they are not able to be used on curved or arched walls.
- Use the input fields in the properties box to specify the dimensions. To place it at a certain distance from the end of the wall or other architectural element, use the Left or Right fields. If you type a distance into the wrong cell, hit the Spacebar to unlock the field, then hit Tab to move to the correct line.
- When it is in the desired position, click to place the first side of the door.
- The width of the door can be determined either by entering a value in the properties box, or by moving your cursor to the desired width in the drawing view. Once the width is set, left click or hit Enter. Height can be adjusted using the quick properties, or after placement using the stretch nodes.
After you have placed a door you can still change its width, height and other values, by selecting the component and entering the new settings in the properties box that appears, or by stretching it with the yellow nodes in the drawing view.

After adding a sectional door, if the "Has window section" checkbox is selected, a new line for "Reposition window" appears in the quick properties box. Clicking on that double arrow allows you to left click and place the windows to a different location on the door.
For both door types, additional properties can be assigned to a selected door with the Roller door properties dialog found by double-clicking on a door, choosing "More properties" in the quick properties box, or by right-clicking on the door and and choosing "Properties."
You can also access theses properties, make changes to multiple doors at once, and save these settings as your default by using the Schemes dialog window. This can be opened by selecting "Wall settings" at the very top of the Wall Drawing component tab. Along with Walls, Doors, and Windows, there is now a section for Overhead Doors. These schemes can be saved to be used again or to share with colleagues. You can apply the changes to individual items, selections, or to all doors in the drawing by using the "Apply to:" button at the bottom of the dialog window.
