The Arched wall through tangent and angle tool is used to draw an arc as a continuation of an existing straight wall.
For all curved walls, there are two versions - one for a thin arched wall and the other for a regular arched wall, which has thickness.
To use this tool, follow these steps:
- Select the Arched wall through tangent and angle tool from the tab and let it find an existing wall’s end. Left-click when the word End appears in the help text.
- A pink dashed line appears attached to the cursor. Move it directly in line so that it forms an extension of the existing wall.
Use your arrow keys to lock the direction of the line.
Enter any desired specifications such as Radius, Angle, Thickness, etc. in the green properties box. Left-click once everything is selected. - Move the cursor in the desired direction and click when you have the desired arc angle.
- Once you are finished, hit Esc on your keyboard, or move your cursor outside of the drawing area to escape the command.
Arched and straight walls do not join as one group and will still function as two individual objects in the drawing.
Curved walls can also be achieved by using the Custom Shape tool in the Tools component tab and "Insert wall on edge" tool.
