When it comes to managing your Extension, there are a few things that are good to know.
We have attached a document titled "Quick Guide for Manufacturer Support", this guide outlines how to use Jira when it comes to support tickets that come through for users. We recommend saving this document in case you run into any questions.
Editing your Extension
Edit Extension is where you will go to set your Extension Icon for the Marketplace, set your Extension Approvals, add user facing information and also change your Extension name if needed.

Managing Users
As an Extension owner, you will have control over who is able to access and use your Extension. You can set up your Extension in two ways, open access to all users, or needing Supervisor approval for access. To set up the supervisor approval, you will need to make sure the Need supervisor approval checkbox has been selected on the Edit Extension page. If the checkbox is deselected, it means that the Extension is free for anyone to use.
If Need supervisor approval has been checked, you will begin to get user requests for access to your Extension. This page here will walk you through this process: Requests – Configura Help Center
You may also want to see a list of what users have installed your Extension: Users – Configura Help Center
There is also an option to set up filters on incoming users to help with the approval process: Filters – Configura Help Center
Extension Analytics
Once your Extension is live, you will be able to see analytics in MyConfigura on it to help understand how it is being used. We have a section of our Help Center dedicated to analytics, and it is located here: Analytics Overview – Configura Help Center.
Software Migrations
Migration is the process of updating your Extension to stay compatible with the latest version of CET. It ensures you benefit from the newest features and bug fixes, and it’s a required step with every major Core release. Twice a year it is required to Migrate your Extension to the new release of CET. In Core, there are two major releases (May and November) and two minor releases (February and August) each year. Major and minor releases are release versioning types given to categorize the stages throughout the development process, with the process starting two months prior.
Here is the recommended timeline for migration and testing:
8 weeks before release – Start migration
6 weeks before release – Complete migration
4 weeks before release – Start testing
2 weeks before release – Complete testing

Briefcases
Briefcases are an excellent way to communicate with your end users. When you create a Briefcase for your Extension, users with a valid license are added automatically. MyConfigura servers update often to make sure users are connected to the right Briefcases. This means your users do not need to search or request access. Users can also be added manually.
Note: If you add members manually, remember that you will also need to remove them manually when access is no longer needed.
