Payment method
This section displays the total number of active license subscriptions with automated billing enabled. It also shows the type of payment card, and the last four digits of the card used during the initial auto-billing checkout.
Update payment method
If you would like to use a different card for your upcoming auto-billing charges, simply click the Update Payment Method button to replace the current payment method.
You will be redirected to enter your new payment details:
Payment method is per customer. All auto-billing subscriptions will use a singular payment method.
Auto-billing renewal cycle:
- Renewal invoice will be created 1 day before existing subscription expires.
- There will be a total of 4 charge attempts, with 1 charge attempt per day, starting from the day after existing subscription expired.
- For each charge attempt, we will use the most recently entered card information.
- If the payment card is invalid, a reminder email will be sent requesting for a payment update.
An invalid payment card includes insufficient funds, an expired card, authentication required (as we do not support cards that require authentication on recurring payments), etc. Failure reason will be shown as they enter their card information again.
- If the payment fails on the final charge attempt, the invoice will be canceled. If a license is needed, it will need to be purchased from the Marketplace again.
- The invoice will be marked as paid after a successful charge attempt is made.
Payment processing for the order placed using "Auto-billing" option and its recurring payment will be powered by Stripe.
Current limitations:
- Auto-billing option is only available for customers with USD currency and monthly purchase license.
- Update payment method only allows to override the existing payment method, does not allow to remove the old one.
- Recurring transactions over INR 15,000 (or equivalent in other currencies) using India bank cards have an e-mandate requirement to go through AFA (additional factor authentication) like 3D secure each time. We are not supporting transactions over INR 15,000 for Indian card holders yet.

- Q: Is auto-billing supported for currencies other than USD?
A: Unfortunately, we do not support auto-billing for currencies other than USD.
- Q: How to cancel the auto-billing? Is auto-billing supported for currencies other than USD?
A: To cancel auto-billing, kindly reduce quantity of the subscription to '0'.
- Q: Can existing monthly subscribers migrate their subscriptions to "Auto-billing"?
A: Unfortunately, existing monthly subscriber cannot migrate their subscriptions to "Auto-billing". If you wish to switch the payment method to auto-billing, kindly make new purchase from the Marketplace with "Auto-billing" as payment method.
- Q: Since automated recurring payments are processed after the existing subscription period ends, in the event of payment failures, how will this affect the user's license?
A: There will be total of 4 charge attempts, with 1 charge attempt per day, starting from the 1st day of the new subscription. For the first 3 failed attempts, a reminder email will be sent requesting for a payment update. If the 4th charge attempt has occurred with invalid payment method, the invoice and license tied to it will be cancelled and an email will be sent upon the cancellation. Until then, the license will still be usable.
