Q: How do we assign an Admin role to someone in our organization? A: Existing Admins and Owners can assign admin rights to other persons by entering their email addresses on the Projects page.
Q: We have created an Extension but not yet made it public on Marketplace. How do we give licenses to users? A: Go to the Edit Extension page of your Extensions view. Here, you can give free licenses for your Extension by entering an email address. Please note that this is available only for Configura partners.
Q: How can we control who uses our Extension? A: On the Edit Extension page, there is an Extension approval checkbox. Selecting it will prevent usage of your Extension without Supervisor approval. Please note that already active licenses are not affected and will still work if you decide to activate the Extension approval feature.
Q: We no longer work with a dealership that we granted access to our Extension. How can we recall their access to our Extension? A: You have to block their email domain from accessing your Extension. This is done by removing them from the list of approved users and/or email domains on the Filters page.
Q: On the Users page, how does the filter work in running user reports? A: At the bottom of the Users page is your user list. This list will be filtered if you use the options that become visible when you click the Filter You can add columns to show (Start time, End time, Last used, Company, and City). You can also sort out information (License, License status, License type, and Company), which limits the user list to only show users that meet the requirements. Once you are satisfied with the user list, you can click the Export to Excel button. In the Excel spreadsheet, only the listed users are included. If you want to remove certain columns, or sort the results, this is done in Excel.
Q: On the Filters page, I do not see the proper Extensions or channels listed on the right side of the page. What do I do? A: If you cannot see any channels, it could be that there aren’t any. It could also be that a developer has created or edited a channel in the Developer Center and selected the “Apply to all” option. If this option has been selected, there is no need for Supervisors to see that channel, since the rule is that it applies to all users.
Q: My Extension is Free, do I still need to sign the CETRPL agreement? A: Yes, it is a required step before Creating an Extension. It also contains information and terms for Publishing and Accessing the Extension.
Q: We have created a Briefcase for our Extension. How do our users find it? A: The MyConfigura servers are very frequently updated to add or remove users to Extension Briefcases. This means that all users with a valid license for your Extension will automatically become members of your Extension Briefcase. If you have added members manually, however, you also need to remove them manually.
Q: What will happen if the license icon and the Extension icon are larger in size than allowed? A: The image will be scaled and cropped to the right size, so it may not look as intended.
