CET has a number of features for zooming in or out in different ways. They can all be found on the 2D and 3D toolbars:
Zoom in on selected object
This tool is used to quickly zoom in on an object in the drawing area. This feature is accessed from the toolbars above both the 2D and 3D views. For this feature to be activated so that the icon is not gray, you have to select an object in the drawing area.
Follow these steps:
- Select the component you want to zoom in on. On the 2D or 3D toolbar, the Zoom in Selected Object button is activated.
- Click it. The selected component is shown in a close-up.
There are many other ways to zoom in the 2D drawing view as seen in this article.
Zoom in on selected group
This tool is used to quickly zoom in on a group of objects in the drawing area that are selected together. This feature is accessed from the toolbars above both the 2D and 3D views. For this feature to be activated so that the icon is not gray, you have to select the objects in the drawing area.
If you are in group select mode, this tool will zoom into an entire group of objects that are connected; if you are in single select mode, the individual selected object will be the focus.
Follow these steps:
- To select the group of objects you want to zoom in on, click each one individually while holding down the Ctrl key. Another way to do this is with a group of components that are already connected (yellow triangles shown between them). The Zoom in Selected Group icon is then activated.
- Click it. The selected component group is shown in a close-up.
There are many other ways to zoom in the 2D drawing view as seen in this article.
Zoom in on all objects
Use this tool to have an overall view of all the objects you have placed in the drawing area. This feature is found on the toolbars above both the 2D and 3D views in CET. If you have lost the overview of your floor plan, click once on Zoom in All Objects. All objects in the drawing area are now shown.
Right-click in the 2D or 3D drawing area to get the same feature from the context menu.
