Found In
CET 16.0 Patch 2
Summary
Users have reported an issue with the keyboard shortcut "CTRL" not working when attempting to select multiple objects at once. Some of them have also shared that the "Rectangle Select" tool is not working as well.
Steps to Reproduce
- Open a drawing in CET
- Press and hold the keyboard shortcut "CTRL" and drag left across multiple objects
- Observe issue
Also can occur with the following steps:
- Open a drawing in CET
- Click "Rectangle Select" in the toolbar
- Attempt to select multiple objects with the rectangle box
- Observe issue
Workaround
If clicking Rectangle Select doesn’t work, try using the CTRL keyboard shortcut instead. In some cases, the reverse is also true.
There may be instances where neither the Rectangle Select click nor the CTRL shortcut works.
If this happens, we recommend rolling back CET to a previous version:
-
In CET, go to Help > Go back to previous version:
- When prompted, select Yes:
Note: CET only stores two previous versions.
• If CET has been updated multiple times since 16.0 Patch 2, you may not be able to roll back to a version earlier than those three stored versions.
• The available rollback points depend on how many times Update and Restart has been used.
