Our Industry Libraries are a data-driven solution that has been specifically created to improve the accessibility of product offerings to our users. It is a content delivery method for a manufacturer to produce, maintain, and publish a catalog, containing manufacturers’ product data.
What products are suited for Libraries?
For a product to be suited for Libraries, it should be standalone by its nature, which means that it should have only limited opportunities to interact with its surroundings.
Good for Libraries: Examples of good products for libraries are an office chair or a forklift. Office chairs or forklifts are available in many options and executions. However, no matter the number of options for the product, the choices have no impact on the other components in the drawing.
Not as good for Libraries: Examples of products that are not as well suited for only Libraries, is a wall system or conveyor system. Wall systems or conveyor systems are usually more dynamic and require lots of configurations and calculations. It is therefore better suited for an Extension.
How it works
A successful Library project requires clear alignment, planning, ongoing testing, and open communication. Unlike Extension projects, Libraries are developed and maintained by the manufacturer. This means the manufacturer is responsible for driving the project forward, but they don’t have to do it alone. Configura offers support through Development Partners who can assist with all aspects of the build, from catalog creation to testing and release. Adopting a structured, agile approach is key to navigating the multiple roles, tasks, and reviews that come with development. With the right planning and resources in place, manufacturers can confidently bring high-quality Libraries to market and support their users long-term.

User Support -
User Support is available for anyone using Configura products like CET, Spec, Workspace, or our Libraries. The team helps you use the software, solve problems, and answer questions. You can get support through chat (24/5 with remote access if needed), by phone, or by email with replies usually within 16 hours. You can also connect with other users in the forums to ask questions and share solutions.

Developer Support -
Developer Support is for people building or managing Extensions, Libraries, or other tools with Configura’s development software. (Note: You may not use Developer Support often, but it’s important to know about it. The team implementing and managing your technology will rely on it regularly.) The team helps with coding, fixing bugs, publishing updates, and improving your Extension. You can reach them through the Developer Support Portal or by email, with responses usually within 16 hours. You can also ask questions, report bugs, suggest new features, or join live office hours to get direct help. The Developer Academy also offers weekly Developer Office Hours, a great resource for asking questions and getting live guidance.
Resource Page -
The Resources Page is your central place for helpful documents, downloads, and case studies. It supports different roles, whether you are a manufacturer, designer, or developer. Here you will find onboarding guides, role-specific handbooks, technical resources, case studies, and important agreements and policies—all in one place.
System Outages -
The Configura status page provides real-time updates and a historical record of system performance across key services like MyConfigura, Catalogue Uploads, Help Center, CET Experience, GitLab, Sentry, and Analytics. We recommend subscribing to our system outage alerts to ensure you receive real-time notifications when services like MyConfigura or Analytics are impacted, helping you stay ahead of issues and keep your work running smoothly.
