Conveyor Creator lets you create and publish conveyor extensions in CET using a prepared catalogue workbook. This guide walks you through setting up your MyConfigura project, uploading and validating your catalogue, configuring your extension, and publishing it to Marketplace.
Before you begin
Make sure you have the following:
- A Conveyor Creator license
- A prepared catalogue data file in the expected Excel format
- A MyConfigura project
- A valid Catalogue Key
- A publishing license
- A PNG extension icon
- An optional branding image, if you want to customize the extension
1. Set up your MyConfigura project
The manufacturer or extension owner must create a project in MyConfigura.
A project owner can add other owners to the project. Owners can create extensions under the same project and publish them to Marketplace.
2. Complete the Publishing Program information
Review the Authority Declaration and complete the required manufacturer information.
For information about Publishing Program requirements, enrollment, and agreement-signing instructions, refer to Agreements and Policies | Configura.
Under Manufacturer Details, select the Enhanced subscription tier.
The following information and access are not required for this workflow:
- GitLab access
- Sentry access
- Jira project details
3. Complete the Catalogue & Data Management agreements
To obtain a Catalogue Key, you must review and accept the Catalogue & Data Management License and Terms of Service Agreement (CETCL).
- In MyConfigura, select Catalogues
- Review the Catalogue & Data Management License and Terms of Service Agreement
- Refer to Configura Catalogue & Data Management License and Terms of Service Agreement | Configura for additional details
- Open your project and navigate to Project > Catalogue
- Copy the Catalogue Key. You will need it when publishing your extension
4. Open Conveyor Creator
- Open CET
- Select the Conveyor Creator Extension
- Select Create extension to begin
The publishing workflow consists of four stages:
- Upload – Select your catalogue workbook
- Validate – Review the catalogue contents and extension information
- Setup – Configure the extension icon and optional branding image
- Publish – Enter your portfolio information and publish the products
5. Upload your catalogue workbook
- In the Upload stage, select Select file
- Browse to and select your prepared catalogue workbook
- Wait for the workbook to finish loading
- Continue to the next stage
6. Validate your catalogue
On the Validate tab, review the catalogue information before continuing.
Check that the table of contents is correct and confirm the following extension details:
- Extension name
- Extension code
- Company name
- Description
- Unit of measurement
When you have reviewed the information and confirmed that it is correct, continue to the next stage.
7. Configure your extension
In the Setup stage, provide an icon and, optionally, a branding image.
Extension icon
- Required.
- Must be a PNG file.
- Recommended dimensions: 24 × 24 px.
Branding image
- Optional.
- Recommended dimensions: 312 × 48 px or 312 × 96 px.
- Conveyor Creator can resize images with different dimensions.
Review the preview to confirm that your images appear as expected.
Note: The Visibility option is available only when updating an existing extension. A portfolio admin can use this option to hide the extension from all users.
8. Publish your extension
You will need your portfolio name, Catalogue Key, and publishing license.
- In MyConfigura, open your project and navigate to Project > Catalogue to locate your Catalogue Key
- In Conveyor Creator, open the Publish stage.
- Enter your portfolio name.
- Enter your Catalogue Key.
- Validate the portfolio name and Catalogue Key.
- Select the license under which the products will be published.
- Complete the publishing process.
After publishing, wait briefly for the extension download to finish before proceeding.
9. Enable your extension in Marketplace
After publishing, configure the extension in your MyConfigura project so it can be reviewed and made available on Marketplace.
- In your MyConfigura project, open the extension.
- Select Setup new edition.
- Choose CET Material Handling.
- Save your changes.
- Under Categories, select Industry-specific.
- Complete the Logotype and Information sections for Marketplace.
The Active option will remain unavailable (greyed out) until the extension passes review.
Once the extension has been approved:
- Select Active.
- Select Visible to display the extension on Marketplace.
Test your extension before Marketplace publication
You can test your extension before it is published on Marketplace by assigning a license to yourself or another tester.
- In MyConfigura, open MyConfigura Projects.
- Open your extension.
- Select Licenses & Channels.
- Assign a free license for the extension.
- Enter the tester's email address.
- Select Save.
The assigned license allows the tester to access the extension for testing.
Update a published portfolio
A portfolio admin can update an existing portfolio by uploading a replacement Excel workbook.
- In MyConfigura, open the published portfolio.
- Start the update workflow.
- Upload the new Excel workbook.
- Complete the update process.
During the update workflow, the portfolio admin can choose to hide the extension from all users.
Limitations and requirements
Keep the following limitations in mind when creating a conveyor extension:
- Each portfolio can contain only one extension.
- Each portfolio can use only one measurement type.
- Essential Conveyors must be enabled.
Troubleshooting
