If you would like to further customize your conveyor units, you can do so using the Conveyor Catalogue within the Essential Conveyor Settings.
Use this guide to create a local conveyor catalogue in CET from the Essential Conveyors extension. This workflow is separate from publishing an extension with Conveyor Creator. You can find more information about publishing in the Conveyor Creator article.
Before you begin ensure you have the following:
- CET with the Essential Conveyors extension installed
- A prepared Essential pricelist template
Steps
In CET, open Essential Conveyors > Conveyor Settings, then select Create Catalogue to open the Conveyor Catalogue Creation dialog.
Choose the Conveyor type (Case or Pallet) and Measurement system (Metric or Imperial), then select Generate template. You will use the generated Excel workbook as your starting file for the custom conveyor catalgue.
Follow the requirements in the template’s Instruction sheet when entering product data. The template also includes worksheets for descriptions, translation, and a properties.
The Instruction worksheet explains how to prepare the catalogue workbook.
After all of the desired customizations have been completed and the workbook is saved, you can then select it or drag and drop it in the Conveyor Catalogue Creator dialog.
Once the workbook is selected, you can then click the Create button on the bottom right. Creating the catalogue will create a new tab in the Essential Conveyors Extension.
Keep the Excel workbook as the editable master. To update the catalogue, change the workbook and create the catalogue again using the same workbook name; the generated .db3 is replaced. To share the catalogue with another user, send the completed workbook. On the other computer, open Conveyor Settings, select Create Catalogue, choose that workbook, and create a local catalogue there.
To remove a local catalogue, move its generated .db3 file out of the local catalogue folder. There is no source workbook to remove as part of this step.
