Within the Extension, the Transportation, Specialty, Transfer and Lift sections are all defined as conveyor units.
Each of these means:
-
Transportation
Conveyors that have a motor, primarily used to move pallets from one end to another. -
Specialty
Have special functions such as measuring the weight of a pallet. -
Transfer
These conveyors are used to change the flow direction of the pallet. -
Lift
Lifts, or vertical conveyors are built to move pallets vertically.
Transportation
A pallet conveyor system typically consists of two separate sections that work together to transport pallets efficiently. Here's how it typically works:
First the pallets are loaded onto the conveyor. There are often features mechanisms or stations where pallets can be placed manually or by automated systems such as forklifts or robotic arms. Once loaded, the pallets move onto the second part of the conveyor system. In the Essential Conveyor extension, we have the Two-Part Pallet Roller unit available for placement at the beginning of a conveyor line for loading or unloading.
Two-Part Pallet Roller
Commonly used at the end of a conveyor line to load and unload pallets with a forklift.
The next section is responsible for transporting the loaded pallets to their destination. It usually consists of a series of rollers or wheels that are powered to move the pallets forward. The rollers are strategically spaced to support the pallets as they move along the conveyor, and there are Roller Pitch options to allow for customization. Depending on the configuration, there may be additional features such as diverter gates or sensors to control the flow of pallets or to detect any issues during transport.
The two parts of the conveyor unit work in tandem to facilitate the smooth movement of pallets from the loading area to the desired destination, such as a storage area, shipping dock, or another part of the production line. This setup is commonly used in warehouses, distribution centers, manufacturing facilities, and other industrial settings where the efficient handling of palletized goods is essential.

Other Units
Scale
A pallet conveyor scale is an industrial device designed to weigh pallets as they move along a conveyor system. Scales can be placed along a conveyor line.
Transfer
Pallet Roller Transfer may be placed on a chain conveyor unit.
Pallet Chain Turntables and Pallet Roller Turntables an be used as a point of directional change of movement along a conveyor line.
The Quick Properties for the turntables also provide an area to customize the Feeds. This allows you to change the number of lines you can connect to each turntable by adjusting the quantity of infeeds and outfeeds.
The Table Rotation slider allows you to easily adjust the specific rotation of the turntables.
Lift
The Pallet Lift Rollers unit is a pallet lift that can move pallets vertically within a conveyor system. It is best to place the lift in your system first, then add conveyor lines to the lift, as they will snap to the lift but lifts will not snap to existing conveyors.
