Once all of your properties have been optioned out in your Schemes, you need to apply the Scheme to the components in your drawing. Use the Apply tools at the bottom of the Scheme Manager to administer changes in your drawing:
Blocks/Frozen
Check these boxes to determine how your Schemes will behave when encountering objects that have been blocked or frozen. The default is for both to be unchecked; however, CET will remember what was checked the last time you applied a Scheme.
Toggles
Only properties that have been enabled with the toggles in the Properties area will be implemented once it is time to apply. Switch toggles on by clicking once. Activated toggles are blue, while deactivated toggles are grey.
Use the toggles at the top of a section with the blue header to activate or deactivate all properties in that section:
Click Enable all or Disable all to turn all toggles on or off in the current tab. For example, in the Scheme manager shown here, clicking Enable all will activate all properties in the Worksurfaces tab but not the Panels or Storage tabs.
Tabs
Tabs on the left-hand side of the Scheme manager represent different groups of components. For products, they are typically grouped by type of product or Catalog. This will vary by manufacturer. For Wall Settings, the tabs are divided by walls, doors, and windows.
The tabs that are highlighted in blue are the ones that will be applied in the drawing. You can turn on all tabs at once by switching on the All Tabs toggle at the top:
Hold down Ctrl on your keyboard and click tabs to select multiple if you only want some to apply but not all.
When multiple tabs are selected, the currently open tab is indicated by the white triangle:
Apply
Once you have chosen which properties to use, it's time to actually apply them! There are three buttons you can use to finally apply your Schemes:
- Target
- Selection
- All
When components in your drawing are selected, the Selection will be activated. You can either click to select objects in the drawing, or use the Advanced Selection tool for more control.
The All button will send all enabled properties to every component that can accept the selected options from the relevant component tab.
The Target button activates an animation that allows you to choose which objects in the drawing will accept the Scheme.
The Selection button is only activated when toggles are enabled, and objects are selected in your drawing.
Target Apply
To use the Target apply:
- Click the Target button in the bottom right corner of the Scheme Manager.
- The Scheme Manager closes, and there is a green circle on your cursor.
- Find components you want to "paint" with the enabled properties in the selected tabs in your Scheme. Components that are eligible to take the Scheme will highlight in blue when you hover over them.
- Click-and-drag to apply to an entire area instead of clicking each item individually.
- Components that have been painted or that are not eligible to have the Scheme applied will be shown in white.
