Moving to a new computer can be exciting and exhausting. However, there are ways to make this process easier when you are switching to a new computer that you will use for CET.
Moving the CET Documents folder
Your preferences, settings, keyboard shortcuts, and other important personal touches to your CET experience are stored in the CET Documents folder on your computer. By default, this folder is located in your Documents Library which you can access with the Windows File Explorer. When you get a new computer, it might feel like you are starting from scratch, but this does not have to be the case. If you still have access to your old computer, you can copy the CET Documents folder from the old computer onto the new one.

folder. After the latest version of CET has been installed on your new computer, close CET and then paste the CET Documents folder - which you have copied from your old computer - into the Documents library on your new computer. Since there is already a CET Documents folder on the new computer, Windows will ask if you would like to replace any existing files with the same name. Choose either Replace the files in the destination or Let me decide for each file. Overwriting and replacing these files means you are putting your previous personal settings in place of the defaults.
