On the 2D view toolbar, there is an Align tool that simultaneously aligns and rotates an object with other components in the drawing area.

This is especially useful if you have imported 3D objects from, for example, SketchUp and want them to snap together or snap to a wall, which they normally wouldn't do. The Align tool makes the object mimic the snapping behavior of regular CET components, making it much easier to place the object exactly where you want. The tool also rotates the object, thus making sure that it gets the right placement.
