It is simple to evenly space components in the drawing area using different distributing tools in the Arrange menu. To distribute components in the drawing area means that the distance between them will be adjusted to be the same for all the selected components.

Basic distribute options are found in the drop-down menu while additional options are accessed by opening the Align/distribute ... dialog.

To distribute the components, follow the steps below:

1. Select the components you wish to distribute.
2. Go to the Arrange menu. Two common types of distributing are found immediately in the drop-down menu: Distribute horizontal and Distribute vertical.
   
   
   
   
3. Select the Align/Distribute option for more types of distribution options:
   
   
   
   
4. Choose one of the options in the second row. The components will be distributed accordingly.

Components can be distributed in six different ways:

• Up
• Vertical
• Down
• Left
• Horizontal
• Right

Distribute up

Distributing components up means there will be even spacing between the top edge of all selected components.

Distribute vertical

Distributing components vertically means there will be even spacing between the center of all selected components.

Distribute down

Distributing components down means there will be even spacing between the bottom edge of all selected components.

Distribute left

Distributing components left means there will be even spacing between the left edge of all selected components.

Distribute horizontal

Distributing components vertically means there will be even spacing between the center of all selected components.

Distribute right

Distributing components right means there will be even spacing between the right edge of all selected components.
