Configurating Options

Products have a set of preselected options when retrieved from the Commercial Interiors Library (CIL) product database. It is possible to change these pre-set options to adjust to your customers’ requests on the Specify page.

1. Go to Specify (next to the Browse page in the lower section)
2. Select the product and change options, finishes, materials, et c.
3. Aline generates updated preview 3D images to reflect your chosen configuration, provided that information is available for that product's 3D model in CIL.
4. You can rotate and pan the image of the product as needed.

The chair has been optioned with the colorway 'Cardinal' (Fabric Selection Mayer, Grade 2, Pattern Align) in the Configuration section on the right side.

NOTE: this may require some time to complete, depending on the server load.

The different choices in the Configuration section are presented with name, option code and price difference. 
 
The price difference if selecting the chair without the arm rest is presented in the Configuration section.

 Custom Option Text

Users are able to add custom text for Options when configuring line items in a project. This is a "notes" area to provide further detailed information for instances of special ordering - Special modifications to product (i.e.-needing casters versus slides) or adding details to a Customer's Own Material (COM).

The custom text can be added to fields found in:

1. Within the Details pop-up dialog on the Browse page

   

2. Under the Configuration panel on the right side of the Specify page

   

3. Under the Overview panel on the right side of the Calculate page

   

4. On the Present page within the Details card

   

   NOTE: The availability and type of Custom Option Text fields will vary depending on Manufacturer data.
