In most cases, you can directly use the Send Feedback button in CET to submit a report, which will automatically attach the required Log Files that Support requires.
However, if you have trouble opening CET to submit a report, you can Email Support along with the Log Files and other related file that can help Support to replicate the issue on their end.
Collecting CET Log Files via the Clean Start Menu
- Open the Clean Start menu
- Expand the window until you see the Export Logs section at the bottom
- Check the option Export Events and leave it at 1000.
- Click on Browse to choose the Logs save location.
- Click Export Logs
This will compile all the necessary log files in a ZIP file.
You can then attach the ZIP file and send it off to Support.
Collecting CET Log Files Manually
If you cannot find the CET Clean Start Menu, then you can follow the method below:
- Navigate to your %localappdata%\CET Data\64-bit.
- Sort the files by Type.
- Then, select all file types for CMTXT and CMLOG.
- Zip the selected files by right-click and select Send To > Compressed (zipped) folder.
- Be sure to rename the ZIP-ed file.
You can then attach the ZIP file to the Email for Support.
