In the Project File Manager, you can keep track of all the sections, files, and paper groups that are a part of a project. The window shows all project files on the left, and on the right you will see only local files which have been downloaded and can be edited locally.

1. Project & local files
The left side of the dialog lists all files added by any user collaborating on the project. This includes files that have been submitted to the server and files that are currently being edited locally. All users working on a project can access Project Files that have been submitted to the cloud. If a Project File is currently being edited by another user, other users will be able to view only without editing.
The right side of the dialog shows only files that have been loaded locally and can be edited by the current user. Local files can be edited by one user at a time. There are different types of files that you can find here - drawing sections, paper groups, and uploaded files such as PDFs, JPGs, etc.
2. Local file toolbar
These buttons perform collaboration operations in local files. These buttons are:
- New section
- Copy section
- Import favorite as section
- Switch to Edit mode
- Switch to Read Only mode
- Add attachment
- Open attachment
- Duplicate file (with option to duplicate as an alternatives)
- Rename file
- Close file
Above the toolbar, you will see undo and redo icons. The only two operations that can be undone or redone is renaming a section or changing a section color.
3. Center toolbar
The buttons between the two main sections of the dialog include ways to adjust the dialog's appearance as well as to perform operations for submitting and loading files between all project files on the server and the local files. These buttons are:
- Hide server files
- Switch to mini dialog (shows only the local file tools)
- Refresh files
- Load file
- Submit file
- Submit all files
- Project history
4. Drafts
All objects in the drawing must be a part of a section or paper group. If you have not already selected a section while you are placing new symbols in your drawing, the object will be added to a draft, which exists by default. Drafts can be saved as an official section or paper group which you can name and edit with the tools from the toolbar (#2).
5. Status
The status of a file will communicate what stage it is in along the collaboration project process.
Local files can be any of the following statuses:
- Read only: Loaded from the cloud but cannot be edited.
- Edit mode: Loaded and can be edited.
- New: Created but nothing has been added or changed.
All project files (on the left hand side) can be either of these statuses:
- Loaded: Downloaded from the server and is currently loaded in the local files.
- Not loaded: Saved on the server but is not being viewed locally.
6. File type & color
This section shows useful information pertinent to files. Both server and local files will show their type, and local files will additionally show the color. File types may be sections, paper groups, blocks, levels, data, or attachments. The color is used the the drawing view to differentiate objects in that section.
7. Filters
Here you can choose to filter types of files to make it easier to find what you are looking for. You can also search by name for specific files.
Click one or more of the buttons (paper, section, block, level, data, or attachment) to make it active or inactive. Buttons filled in with blue are active and all files of that type will be shown; Un-filled buttons are inactive, and files of that type will be hidden.
Type into the search field to filter by name.
In the Collaboration Settings in the Control Panel, you can check Auto-update file filters when switching views. This will automatically change the filters when you go between Paper View and the regular drawing view. When in the drawing view, the Paper filter will be turned off. In Paper View, the only active filters will be Paper and Attachment. You can still manually adjust your filters when in either view. To revert to the automatic filters, click the refresh icon to the right of the filter list.
