To draw two-dimensional rectangles in CET, go to 2D Rectangles on the Tools component tab or to Rectangles on the Paper (drawing) component tab in the Paper View.
Rectangles Specified by Edge and Depth
The first, third, and fourth tools in the 2D Rectangles section are placed the same way. The only difference is the amount of sides they have. The first will have all four sides of the rectangle, the third has three sides, and the final tool has only two sides.
- Select any of the Rectangle specified by edge and depth tool in the component tab and click once to place the first point in the drawing area.
- Adjust the rectangle’s Length and Angle, by moving the cursor in the desired direction without holding the mouse button down or by entering the quantities into the quick properties box.
Use Tab to move between lines in the properties box and Space to lock a cell or select an option on the current line. - Click, or hit Enter when the rectangle is the length you want.
- Adjust the rectangle’s Depth by moving the cursor in the desired direction without holding the mouse button down or by entering the distance into the quick properties box. Click when the rectangle is the depth you want.
Rectangle Specified by Edge and Diagonal
- Select the Rectangle specified by edge and diagonal tool from the component tab and click once to place the first point in the drawing area.
- Determine the rectangle’s direction (Angle) by moving the cursor in the desired direction or by entering the quantities into the quick properties box. Click when the rectangle is the length you want.
- Now you can stretch or shrink the rectangle diagonally. This means that you can change the Width and the Depth at the same time. Click when the rectangle is the size you want.
