This article will review where to save your Print Templates and how to direct other Users to the shared Print Template file.

Sharing Print Templates

Your Print Template path is automatically defaulted to save at this location:

• Documents → ProjectSpec → Print Templates

Option 1: Reference Shared Network

If you need to reference a Print Template that is saved on a shared network, you will need to updated the Storage Location path in Spec. These paths must match in order to print from the shared Print Template.

To update the Storage Location in Spec, follow these steps:

1. Open Spec
2. Select the Tools tab
3. Select Settings
4. Select Storage Location
5. Select +Print Templates
6. Click Change Location
7. Browse to new location and Select desired folder
8. Click Select Folder

Option 2: Copy and Paste

Another option is to Copy and Paste the shared Print Template directly into the Print Template folder.

To Copy and Paste the Print Template, follow these steps:

1. Open File Explorer
2. Browse to the Storage Location
3. Copy and Paste the Print Template

Print Using a Shared Print Template

Now that your shared Print Template is saved, you are ready to print!

To print a report from the Print Template, follow these steps:

1. Select the Print tab
2. Select Print
3. Choose to Print either a Range, Selection, or All records
4. Click Next
5. Select the Print Template
6. Select the Report 
7. Click Preview or Print
