On the left side of the Component Tab Creator Dialog, the Controls window contains all the controls used to organize products and images in the Design window. See the Controls article for further information.

In the Controls window displayed on the left-hand side of the Component Tab Creator dialog, different controls can be utilized in the creation and organization of a component tab. 

• Filler Control: Used to organize products and fill up a product space within a product view. A Filler is represented by a red cross with a red frame around it when it is in the design window of Component Tab Creator. Once published or previewed, it will not display any graphics but just a gap in the Product View. Fillers can only be inserted into a product view. A Stop icon will appear on the tooltip when the target area being placed in isn't valid. If a target is valid, a green insert arrow will be displayed.

  

• Group Control: Used to group specific types of products from the product catalogues. Groups can be placed as subgroups in existing groups or headers. An animation tooltip will be displayed stating the path of the group when inserted at that location. It will show which group, header or card it can be inserted to. Once inserted in the design window, a label area states the name of the group and contains an arrow that collapses or expands the group. The arrow in the label area will be indented to the right based on the level depth of the group hierarchy. The deeper the insertion level, the further to the right it will be representing a subgroup. A group control can be collapsed and expanded by clicking on the arrow. Right-clicking on the label area will also display a right-click menu that will give the user the following options: Collapse All and Expand All.

  

• Product View Control: Used as a placeholder for products and other controls within the Design window. A Product View can only be inserted into a group or a header control. The animation will guide the user by showing a "Stop" icon when the target of the animation is not valid. If a target is valid, a green insert arrow will be displayed.

  

• Image Header: Similar function to a normal header with the ability to add and place images like logos.  An Image Header will be displayed as a red cross with a red frame around it when being displayed in a product view. If no image has been selected and the component tab card is being previewed or published, nothing will be displayed in the Image Header. If an image has been selected, the image will be displayed both in the Component Tab Creator and when the component tab card is previewed or published.
