New Features
- We are excited to introduce Auto Categorization to help simplify the process of assigning categories to objects before placing them. After enabling this tool from the toolbar, you can select categories for objects in advance and add them without assigning categories individually later.
To enable this feature, click the icon on the toolbar:
Then, click the arrow to open the dropdown and select the categories you want to add to the next symbol you insert:
Once you do, what categories are about to be added are previewed. In the example below, 'Lights' stem from automation from the object itself, while 'Lighting' and 'Electrical' were selected in the dropdown: - The 'Measure and Scale' tool has been added to the Quick Property box of DWG drawings. If you know the length of a line in the DWG in the real world, this tool will help to scale the entire DWG to match the real-world measurements quickly.
- The option to disable PDF creation using vector graphics has been re-enabled. To help keep file sizes down, we have also automatically enabled the 'Reduced precision (smaller file size)' checkbox in the Print dialog.
- PNG images with transparency background can now be used. While stacking multiple images is possible, semi-transparent PNGs may have some limitations—but should work in most cases.
- Auto dimensions in the Elevation View dialog can now be manually removed and will not regenerate automatically; however, you can click ‘Reset Auto Annotations’ to restore them.
- The Summary section of Calculation now supports customization, allowing you to display different pricing types for Buy, Sell, List, and Profit.
- A new 'Highlight component under cursor' option is available in the View tab of the Control Panel.
Once enabled, hovering the mouse over an object will highlight it, providing a clear preview of the selection. Depending on your settings, CET will highlight the box or the outline, including groups and frozen or locked objects.
In addition, users can now choose "Outline" as the 2D selection mode in the Control Panel, which will adjust the selection indicator to wrap tightly around the object's lines. - Autosaves and backups in the 'View Backups and Autosaves' dialog are now sorted by the most recently opened drawings.
- Added a button to the Control Panel > Data management tab that allows viewing of autosaves in the local directory.
New Extension Available
- The new Navisworks Extension allows you to export CET drawings to Navisworks and open them within the application. Exported drawings can be viewed in Navisworks, which serves a viewer for CET drawings. Please note that the Navisworks Extension requires a separate license.
New Features
- Added a Configuration button next to Settings within the Essential Material Handling Extensions for quick configuration selection without opening the Pre Configurator.
- Added the ability to convert a single end row by adding another to create a double end row by unchecking the 'Add Aisle First' option during insertion in the Essential Pallet Racking Extension.
- Added a 'Cut to Fit' option to the 'Straight Accumulation Unit,' 'Straight Segmented Belt Accumulation Unit,' and 'Curve Gravity Roller Unit' within the Essential Conveyors Extension.
- Added a 'Cut to Fit' option to the 'Transportation Curve Belted Unit,' 'Transportation Curve Belt Driven Roller Unit,' and 'Straight MDR Accumulation Unit' within the Essential Conveyors Extension.
- Added a Pallet In-line Magazine and Pallet Stand-alone Magazine as accessories for more flexibility and functionality within the Essential Conveyors Extension.
- Added functionality to edit height, width, and special options when inserting an object within the Essential Guarding Extension. CET will remember the selected values for the next time.
- Added a visual animation in the 3D View when using the Rectangle and Line Fencing option within the Essential Guarding Extension.
- Added dimension visibility to the 2D View when using the Rectangle and Line Fencing option within the Essential Guarding Extension.
Improvements
- Improved performance for Essential Pallet Racking and Essential Deep Racking 3D navigation in large drawings by stabilizing the Level of Detail (LOD). The LOD for rendering will not be affected.
- Improved function clarity for the Rectangle and Line Fencing button by separating them into two distinct buttons within the Essential Guarding Extensions.
- Updated the Unit Load Editor dialog in the Essential Pallet Racking and Essential Deep Racking Extensions to match the visual appearance of other dialogs.
