CET 15.0 Patch 2: September 16, 2024
New Features & Improvements
Introducing Continuous walls
- This new feature makes it effortless to place walls continuously with a few mouse clicks. Under "Walls" in CET, click the corner arrow on the Regular icon, pick Continuous wall and draw up your space in a single animation. It's as easy as that!
We have also added a Drawing Aid that offers enhanced graphical support for placing walls through feature lines and referencing points. The Drawing Aid can be toggled to either Show or Hide in the quick properties box.
Miscellaneous
- DWG import is improved to allow more flexibility of the location of materials that are to be imported with the DWG drawing. Previously, CET was limited in where to look for them and would not include them in the import if they were not found in that single location.
- Additional information is now shown in the Render Details dialog, associated with the Render Accelerator, if your external render servers or accelerators are outdated.
- For the Flooring Extension, we're launching a new Border Tool that enables you to add a specified border width that makes a cut along the perimeter of a flooring surface.
- The Bathroom Accessories Extension is seeing an update with new models and products, for examples fixtures, shelving, and wall lights.
- Products in the Essential Kitchen Extension now display more descriptive names.
- Added links to the title bar and help menu providing additional help information for the new UI that was introduced with CET 15.0 Major.
Crash Fixes
- Fixed issue with reverting a drawing that could cause a crash when Multiple Drawings mode was enabled.
- Fixed issue that could cause a crash during IFC import when the comment section of the IFC file could not be read.
- Fixed issue with loading of CET favorites or Collab sections that could cause a crash if they contained references to the recently retired Movie Studio Extension.
Bug Fixes
- Fixed problem that could cause CET to become non-responsive and hang when loading drawings containing some specific manufacturer symbols.
- Fixed problem with the automatic hiding functionalities of Windows' taskbar not working with the new UI of CET.
- Fixed problem with the keyboard shortcut to switch between single 2D/3D/split views not working.
- Fixed problem with the Undo and Redo commands not working after using Shift + arrow keys to rotate an object.
- Fixed problem with the rectangular selection remover tool behaving inconsistently across 2D and 3D views, resulting in an incorrect selection of objects.
- Fixed problem with the Positioning tool not working on imported image objects; instead detecting the same feature point repeatedly.
- Fixed problem with autosaves and autobackups being grouped together under the same drawing name in recover backups for newly created drawings from templates.
- Fixed problem where custom configurations of the component tabs were not retained upon restarting CET.
- Fixed problem with the indentation of section sub-headers inside component tabs not appearing correctly in the classic UI.
- Fixed problem with the quick property box taking substantially longer to appear on the screen after the latest CET update.
- Fixed problem with the quick properties dialog that could prevent it from updating accordingly when the user made changes to objects in the drawing area.
- Fixed problem with imported IFC files where the distance properties (e.g. Depth, Area, Width\) of the files were not displayed in the same units set in the Control Panel.
- Fixed problem where inactive alternatives got grey/white outlines when printing. They will be black instead now.
- Fixed problem with dimensions not rounding up when the measure was at point five in 0" precision.
- Fixed problem with CAD material import where materials would sometimes be stretched.
- Fixed problem with walls where the middle of the wall would not detect feature points during a stretching animation.
- Fixed problem with the Color Selection dialog not showing up on the same screen as the CET window.
- Fixed problem that would cause PBR textures created using PNG files to turn black regardless of color. Now, PNG files can be used to create a PBR texture with correct colors.
- Fixed problem with parent part numbers not showing on COM part lines after exporting to PMX or SIF.
- Fixed problem where exported materials in CAD that had a color instead of a texture were shown as black. Now they will show the correct color.
- Fixed problem with Essential Kitchen reports that would cause them to not follow the language selected for CET.
- Fixed problem with Kitchen Appliance component tabs were taking a very long time to open.
- Fixed problem with worktop autotext sometimes not including drawn sinks correctly.
- Fixed problem with the default value for Anti Aliasing being incorrect upon starting CET Kitchen & Bath.
- Fixed problem that prevented the bar stool in the Kitchen Accessories Extension from being scaled in size.
