The Clean Up Drawing Tool is utilized to potentially reduce the size of the currently loaded drawing file.
To access the tool, navigate to the Tools dropdown menu
The tool identifies objects within the file that may be superfluous, though, it is up to the user to decide if the identified objects should be removed. Users can choose multiple objects within the tool's interface, like CAD files, image files, Sketchup objects, and empty blocks, to name a few.
Select items using the checkboxes with a black border; checkboxes with a grey border indicate items that either cannot be removed using the tool, or that are not present in the file. In the image above, the drawing does not contain edited graphics, empty blocks, or PDF files, which is why those checkboxes are greyed out. The Materials section also cannot be checked but is instead informational.
Use to locate items within the drawing view. If the icon does not appear, it will not navigate to the item in the drawing.
By clicking the Remove button, the selected objects will be removed from the drawing.
The Auto-refresh toggle, when activated, automatically updates the interface whenever a user loads or opens a different drawing. However, it is worth noting that the interface does not automatically refresh as objects are added to the drawing. Use to manually refresh after adding objects, or simply close and reopen the tool, if preferred.
