Catalog Panel
Part Specifier
The Part Specifier is where the User will select Finishes for a line item. Since the catalog reader is now docked and always visible, to input a new part number you browse through in the docked Reader. The F2 on a blank line will not work, like in Spec4. You can F2 a line once you have entered a part number or need to option or re-option a part, this will bring up the part specifier window.
Catalog Manager
The Catalog Manager is where the User we turn a Manufacturer's Data on/off. The Spec Catalog Manager allows the user to organize their installed catalogs. You can open and close catalogs, control which catalogs are active or inactive, and change where your catalogs are located. The Catalog Manager can be accessed on the Home Tab, View Tab, Price Tab, and by Clicking on the Settings Wheel in the docked Catalog Information window.
Picture
The Picture Command brings up a larger thumbnail of the Picture assigned to a line item.
Tabs Panel
Spreadsheet
This is the default view for Spec, and gives the user the ability to see the project in a spreadsheet view. Spreadsheet view will allow users to see their file in an "Excel" like format, complete with rows and columns.
Details
Details shows the user the project based upon specific criteria, i.e. tags or catalog codes.
Reset
Reset will bring the layout out to the default view. Un-docked menu's will return to their original place, and filters are removed
Save Layout
The user has the ability to move tabs within the interface around. This will let the user save as many different combinations as they need.
Refresh
This Command helps to restore the spreadsheet through a re-draw function.
Load Layout
Load the user saved layouts.
Spreadsheet View
Adjust Columns
This will let the user turn columns on and off, and save that view. Adjust Columns bring up a window so that the user can select which columns they want to turn on/off in the Spreadsheet view.
The user can create and Save as many templates as they need.
Select the Columns you want to see (check mark) and not see (no check mark) and click the Add Template Button
Save the Template
- A Template will save the Column Width and Column Order
- To Move a Column around L-Click and Hold the header and move it to the Right or Left as desired. To Load a temple select the Radial button and click the Save Button to Load it.
Reset does not turn Columns back on/off, to do that you have to go back to Adjust Columns and load a different view.
Move Row Up/Down
This will let the user move the current line up and down.
Gridlines
This will turn gridlines on/off on the spreadsheet
Autosize Columns
Autosize Columns will enlarge columns to fit all the text, or minimize columns to show only text and no extra space.
Refresh
Refresh will redraw the spreadsheet. Some actions may cause the Spreadsheet grid to need reset. The Refresh command will assist with that.
View Panel
Hide Options
Hide Options will quickly hide the options columns without having to switch column templates.
Highlight Price Columns
Highlight Price Columns will highlight the Price Columns to make them easier to find.
List Price = Light Blue
Customer Price = Medium Blue
Dealer Price = Dark Blue
Margin (GP) = Grey
Hide Tags
This command will quickly hide the tag columns in the spreadsheet.
