Catalogue Information and Part Preview

Catalog Information (previously Catalog Reader) is where searching and browsing the active catalogs takes place. In Spec we improved functionality by it being docked (instead of a pop-up window) on the left side of your screen by default.

Part Preview (previously available in Classic View, and Hybrid View) is now docked on the lower left side by default. Here you will see a preview of the Part selected. You can rotate, zoom, and move the part around as needed.

Catalog Information and Part Preview can be minimized as well as un-docked and moved. To minimize Catalog Information, click on the push pin in the top right corner next to Catalog Information. This will move Catalog Information to the Right and enlarge Part Preview To Minimize Part Preview, click on the push pin in the top right corner next to Part Preview. This will move Part Preview to the Right, underneath Catalog Information. To return the Catalog Information Panel and the Part Preview Panel, simply click on the minimized label.

Both the Catalog Information Panel and the Part Preview Panel can be un-docked and moved around by Left Click and hold on the Header and dragging the window around. This will allow more columns to appear on your screen. These panels can be moved to another computer screen, or moved to the Right side of the Spec window.

To Re-Dock these panels click and hold the title and drag the window. You will see arrows show up in the middle of the screen, the right side of the screen, or the left side of the screen. These arrows will direct you Up, Down, Left, and Right. Drag the window to the arrow that represents where you would like the panel to dock and release the click and hold. Now your panels will be docked again.
