Use AI Photo to create AI-generated visualizations from your CET drawings. Once generated, you can save, organize, rate, and share your images directly from the AI Photo Studio.
Before you begin
Before generating AI photos, make sure that:
- The AI Photo Extension is installed from Marketplace.
- Your account has available AI Tokens.
- A drawing is open in CET.
Generate an AI Photo
- Open the AI Photo Extension.
- Adjust the image settings as needed:
- Format – Choose an image aspect ratio.
- Show Floor – Show or hide the floor in the source image.
- Quick Render – When enabled, AI Photo uses a quick rendered image instead of the current 3D View image. A quick rendered image may produce better AI-generated results.
- Click Open AI Photo.
- If Quick Render is enabled, a quick rendering is created before AI Photo Studio opens.
- In AI Photo Studio:
- Select a template.
- Configure any desired settings.
- Optionally enter a custom Magic Number or generate a random one.
- Click Generate.
The image is sent to the AI service and is typically generated in about 20 seconds.
View Generated Images
After an image is generated, it appears in the photo panel for the current project.
Use the controls at the top of the window to switch between:
- Input Image – The original image sent for processing.
- Generated Photo – The AI-generated result.
Save or Copy an Image
Once a photo has been generated, you can save it or copy it for use in other applications.
- Save As – Saves the image to a location of your choice.
- Copy to Clipboard – Copies the image to your clipboard so that it can be pasted into another application.
Add or Edit a Watermark
You can add a watermark to generated images to indicate that they were created using AI.
To add or edit a watermark:
- Enable the Watermark option.
- Click Edit to open the Edit Watermark Text dialog box.
- Modify the watermark text as needed, then click OK to save your changes.
The watermark appears at the bottom of the generated image.
By default, the watermark text uses your CET language setting. You can also select a different language or enter custom text.
Browse Photos by Project
The AI Photo window stores images by project (drawing).
- Use the Project Selector to switch between projects and view previously generated images.
- You can also click the Folder button to open the folder where project images are stored.
Rate Generated Photos
After reviewing a generated image, you can provide feedback on the result.
-
Good – Keeps the image in the Saved list and adds a green checkmark to the image thumbnail.
-
Bad – Moves the image to the Rejected list and marks it with a red icon. A Retry button becomes available, allowing you to generate a new version using the same source image and settings with a different Magic Number.
Filter Your Photos
Use the photo filters to control which images are displayed:
- Saved – Displays unclassified images and images marked as Good.
- Rejected – Displays images marked as Bad.
- All Images – Displays all images for the selected project.
If a project contains more than five images, click Show More to load additional images.
Delete Rejected Images
To remove rejected images:
- Select Rejected from the photo filter options.
- Click Delete All Rejected.
This permanently removes all rejected images for the selected project.
Troubleshooting
Why can't I generate an image?
- Generating images requires available AI Tokens.
- If no tokens are available, a message appears when you click Generate.
Why does my generated image look different from my drawing?
- AI-generated images may not perfectly reproduce every product, finish, or detail from the original scene. Always review generated images carefully before sharing them with customers or using them in presentations.
