SIF is a standard format that is supported by the Catalogue Creator. Your SIF data can be directly imported into the Catalogue Creator where you will need to do some additional work to it.
To import SIF data into the Catalogue Creator, go to the Data Import and choose your file in the Swatches Directory. Then you can choose to import all the files through Auto-fill or to manually browse for your files.
Import Language – The import language needs to be specified as the Catalogue Creator can distinguish human readable text by language, but the SIF format has no means for making that distinction.
Swatches Directory – Some SIF files make reference to external material swatches. If a valid directory is specified here, those swatches will be moved to that directory.
Import Files – This is where you specify which files should be used to perform the import. Either browse to each file using the’…’-button next to each field or, after specifying the Toc-file, press the Auto-Fill button to have the Catalogue Creator attempt to locate the rest of the files. Note that the Auto-Fill button will assume that all of the matching SIF files will be in the same directory, and share the same base file.
Once all fields are filled out you’re ready to import your data.
