News & Changes

• Added implementations of geometric center and area for APath2D. Previously, geometric center and area were only approximations.

• Replaced MAPI with the .eml method to ensure compatibility with the new Outlook and resolve email sending issues.

• Crash reporting in CET has been improved by moving report uploads to a separate process, allowing reports to be sent even if CET crashes. We recommend excluding CETReportUploader.exe from antivirus scanning to avoid upload issues.

• Improved the reliability of downloads and synchronization of catalogue resources embedded by CET Extensions.

• With the earlier implementation of a new Component Tab Creator in 15.5 Major, we will work towards removing the old Component Tab Creator in the upcoming 17.0 Major release in May 2026.

Crash Fixes

• Fixed issue where CET would crash with empty probes.

• Fixed issue with Model Performance crashing when using the 'Insert from Current Component tab' in the Polygon budget tab while viewing Fleetwood or Fika products.

Bug Fixes

• Fixed problem where existing DataSymbol snappers in the drawing could have their position or rotation unintentionally affected when new DataSymbol snappers were inserted. Updated to only refreshSnaps if the snapper is the one being inserted as part of the animation instead.

• The background install process no longer connects to the catalogue downloader, as downloads are handled by the foreground instance. This prevents potential database locking between background and main CET instances. Manufacturers should avoid using while loops that delay Extension initialization until catalogue downloads complete.
