The Material Portal is a centralized tool for browsing and downloading materials from various manufacturers into CET. It helps create a streamlined workflow for managing material files for use in your drawings. Material files that may include images and specification information are downloaded as .gm files that can then be accessed and used from the Material Explorer and Custom Material dialog box.

In partnership with trusted material manufacturers, a standardized Material Database has been created to provide high-quality images and specification information for an array of materials to be used in CET drawings by both the manufacturers and users. The Material Portal is the access point to this database for CET users. 

While in the Beta development phase, users can provide feedback through the Configura Product Roadmap for this project. 

The Material Portal is access from the Rendering Tools Extension Tab. Clicking the Material Portal icon opens the Material Portal (BETA) dialog box as seen below.
