New Features
Introducing Glass Doors and Partitions
- We're happy to share that you can now create glass walls and storefront windows to design those sleek, transparent spaces without workarounds!
Thanks to the new 'Frameless glass door' and 'Glass partition' components, found on the 'Walls' component tab, putting in those glass segments is quicker and easier than ever before.
Show Hidden Objects in Selection
- A new option, 'Show hidden objects in selection', has been added to the 'Views' tab in the Control Panel. When enabled, selected objects hidden by a View Mode or Filter will now appear transparent, offering clearer visual feedback during selection.
Increased Control When Moving Objects
- The 'General' tab in the Control Panel is also seeing a new addition. The 'Arrow key move distance' setting lets you set how far the arrow keys will move objects to your preference and convenience. You can choose a fixed value or set it to dynamic, meaning the distance will scale with the camera zoom level.
Excel Export for Calculation
- Calculation can now be exported directly to Excel from the current article view, enabling easier analysis, reporting, and sharing outside of CET.
Improvements
- Finalized fixes and adjustments to toolboxes and menus to align with the updated user interface.
- Improved how icons are generated for component tabs, resulting in faster loading times for specific tabs.
- Improved the Catalogue Downloader to better handle multiple CET instances running at the same time. For best results, make sure all instances use the same download directory.
- Updated the default setting for 'Run without CET' in the Catalogue Downloader to off to reduce confusion. This setting will still remember your previous choice.
- Renamed the leg length setting in Dimensions to 'Extension Length' (previously 'Line Length') for better alignment with CET terminology.
- Improved the performance of Custom Shapes.
-
Updated RevLink to now support Revit 2026.
Please note that there is currently a known issue with the 'Get Update' button failing in Revit 2025. Instead of opening a web browser with the intended RevLink page, an error dialog is displayed. We were able to get a fix out shortly after the release of CET 16.0 Minor, but please note that:
- the fix will only apply to new installations of the RevLink add-in and their future updates.
- existing users on Revit 2025 who already have the older add-in installed will still see the error message and need to manually go to the RevLink page to obtain the latest version of the add-in containing the fix.
