Types of Components
Crane
An ASRS Crane is a key component of an Automated Storage and Retrieval System (ASRS) used for lifting, transporting, and storing goods within a warehouse or distribution center. These cranes are typically equipped with specialized grippers, hooks, or pallet forks to handle various types of cargo. Controlled by computerized systems, ASRS cranes navigate along tracks or aisles within the storage facility, accessing specific storage locations to deposit or retrieve items with precision and efficiency.
Crane Properties
Crane properties will be the same for both Single Crane and Double Crane.
Check out this image for definitions of each Crane property!
Additional property values may be entered for Speed and Acceleration if desired. Crane material may be selected from the Material dropdown.
Orientation Reversed will rotate the crane 180 degrees from default placement.
Rail options will affect the rail that is created when placing a crane in the system. Start Extended Length and End Extended Length indicate how far beyond the racking system the rail extends. Values may also be entered to customize Rail Thickness, as well as Top and Bottom Guide Rail Widths.
