Automated Storage and Retrieval Systems (ASRS) are computer-controlled systems used for automatically storing and retrieving goods in warehouses or distribution centers. They typically consist of racks, shelves, or bins, along with automated machinery such as cranes.

Suggested Workflow

1. Review your project requirements and the different types of racking systems
2. Start by opening the Essential Pallet Racking extension and creating specific unit loads in the Unit Load Editor
3. Pre-determine the racking components with the Pre Configurator in the Essential Pallet Racking Extension
4. Be sure to check the Top Approach + Aisle Spacers option in the Frame component section to enable ASRS crane placement in racking system.
5. Place your system in the drawing then use the Bay Editor and Frame Editor to finalize any additional details
6. Open the Essential ASRS extension, pre-determine ASRS components with the ASRS Pre Configurator, then place ASRS cranes within racking system.
