About
The Characters Extension is available for all CET editions which includes CET Commercial Interiors, CET Kitchen & Bath, and CET Material Handling.
This Extension provides a variety of human models in sitting, standing, and walking positions as well as wheelchair and forklift options. A few benefits of using Characters include:
- scale comparison
- audience connection
- realistic renderings
The Characters Extension is a free Extension and is listed in the Accessories section of the Marketplace.
Using Characters
Click on the Characters component tab.
Use the drop-down arrow to change between the two viewing groups; Characters and Poses.
Next, browse the Characters and Poses until you find one you want to use!
Adding Characters
To add Characters to your drawing, follow these steps:
- Identify and click the Character or Pose.
- Drag the mouse to the drawing to activate the green Quick Properties Box.
- Make changes to the Color and/or Elevation with the Quick Properties Box.
- Click in the drawing to place the Character.
Quick Properties Box
Color
The green Quick Properties Box gives you the ability to change the Color type for your Character. Below is an example of the five options:
To change the Character Color, follow these steps:
- Select a Character to edit.
- This activates the Quick Properties Box.
- Click the button to open the options.
- Double-click the select option to apply.
Elevation
In some instances, you may need to adjust the Elevation of Character. This can is also done in the Quick Properties Box. To edit the Elevation, follow these steps:
- Select a Character to edit.
- This activates the Quick Properties Box.
- Click in the Elevation field.
- Update the height and press Enter.
