Solution
Scenario 1: Your Company Has Migrated to MyConfigura
If your company has recently migrated from License Manager to MyConfigura, try logging into Spec using your MyConfigura credentials.
If you need to reset your MyConfigura password, use the following link:
https://app.configura.com/forgot-password
To verify that you have a Spec license assigned in MyConfigura, visit:
https://my.configura.com/index.pl?page=marketplace§ion=cetdesigner&pid=1794
If you're unsure whether your company has completed the migration, please contact your company's license administrator, as they would have been involved in the migration process.
Install the Latest Versions of Notify and CI Library Warehouse
After migration, ensure you have installed the latest versions of the following applications in this order:
- CI Library Warehouse (install first)
- Notify
Note: The CI Library Warehouse installer requires administrator permissions. If you do not have administrator rights on your computer, please contact your IT administrator for assistance.
Installing these updates ensures that Spec references the most current license and expiration information.
If License Expired Messages Continue
If you still receive a License Expired message after completing the steps above, remove the following files and folders:
- Delete the License file from:
%APPDATA%\Configura Library Platform\%APPDATA%\ProjectMatrix\
- Delete the ServerLicense file from:
%ProgramData%\ProjectMatrix\
- Delete the following folder:
%LOCALAPPDATA%\Configura\cls
These steps will remove older License Manager files and force the application to authenticate using MyConfigura.
Scenario 2: Your Company Has Not Migrated to MyConfigura
If your company has not migrated to MyConfigura, we have confirmed that this issue can occur when your License Manager password and MyConfigura password are identical.
To resolve this issue, reset your License Manager password so that it is different from your MyConfigura password.
You can do this by visiting:
https://login.projectmatrix.com/Account/ForgotPassword
and following the password reset instructions.
If the error persists after password reset or you’re unsure whether your company has completed the migration, please reach out to Support.
