CET 17.0 Major
Summary
After updating to CET 17.0, some users may become stuck in a login loop between the CET login screen and their web browser, preventing successful login.
Error Details
Affected users are repeatedly redirected between the CET login window and the browser authentication page without successfully signing into CET.
Workaround
Update as of 10:16AM EST: A fix for this issue has been released. No action is needed on your side. Please let us know if the issue continues to persist!
Previous update as of 9:16AM EST:
As a workaround, we recommend rolling back CET to before the 17.0 update. Here is steps on how to do that:
- In CET, go to Help > Go back to previous version:
- When prompted, select Yes:
Note: CET only stores two previous versions.
• If CET has been updated multiple times since 17.0 Major, you may not be able to roll back to a version earlier than those two stored versions.
• The available rollback points depend on how many times Update and Restart has been used.
