All Editions News & Changes
New Features
Live measurements while drawing straight walls.
CET now shows live measurements while drawing straight walls, making it easier to see and control their size.
Improved Filtering in Catalog browser
Updated filtering in Catalogue Browser to ease browsing and search of Products for use in Picklist.
Elevated Light insert animation
- Ceiling lights in the Lights extension now have some graphics showing their on-floor position while inserting. This makes it a lot easier to align them with other furniture.
Improvements
View Modes, Part Tagging and Categories
A new property has been added to the 'Tag individually' tool in the 'Part Tagging' dialog, which allows selecting whether the tool should target all types of objects or only objects that have parts. This can remove the risk of accidentally applying part tags to text and markups in cluttered areas of the drawing.
- A confirmation window will no longer be shown when deleting part tags that are not in use or deleting part tag categories that are empty (except in Collab). Additionally, the support for deleting multiple part tags at once using multi-select has been improved, and will now only result in a single undo step. Deleting an item now also result in the next item in the list getting selected instead of nothing.
- View Modes now include tooltips that appear when hovering over each mode. These helpful hints provide quick explanations of what each view mode displays, improving discoverability and making it easier for users to understand their options at a glance.
- Changed the name of the TAGS view mode to Tags to align with how other view modes are named.
- In Calculation, the part tags are now sorted by natural compare (e.g. TAG2 appears before TAG10). Note that this change will be visible also in older drawings.
Drawing Tools, Dimensions
- Added help text to various areas in Walls, Architectural, and Tools extensions, including Wall settings, Accessories, Ceiling, Floor coverings, Styles, Dimensions, Image and text, CAD, and 2D drawing tools.
- Introduced style configuration for dimensions in 2D view clips, allowing users to set ‘Dimension Style’, ‘Dimension Line’, and ‘Dimension Text’ from the left panel. Changes made to dimension styles in 2D view clips now sync automatically with the default styles in 2D/3D views and vice versa.
The ‘Export’ section is moved to appear below all other sections in the 2D view clip panel. - Added an experimental setting in Control Panel -> General. By enabling "(Experimental) Re-insert dimensions on copy", single dimensions can quickly be given a new width when copy-pasted. This feature may be removed or permanently instated in future versions of CET depending on your feedback.
The 'Keep elevation' checkbox in the circular-, linear- and rectangular replicate tools has been changed into a state selector with the options ""Keep source"", ""Use target"" or ""Use point"".
- ""Keep source"" means that the replicated symbols will get the same elevation as the source symbol being replicated.
- ""Use target"" means that the replicated symbols will get the same elevation as the symbol selected as a starting point. This option is only shown when the selected starting point is on a symbol.
- ""Use point"" means that the replicated symbols will get the same elevation as the selected starting point.
Architectural Walls
- It is now possible to set column width and depth during insertion, using values defined in the active scheme.
The width and depth of Columns can now be set separately, meaning Columns no longer need to be square. The width and depth property of Columns in Schemes is now separate from the Wall width, meaning that setting the wall width won't affect Columns and vise versa.
Paper view
- Added the ability to Enable or Disable multiple selected papers in paperspace.
- Added missing translation to rendering related buttons.
2D View
- Added a new checkbox in Control Panel to enable Antialiasing in 2D view, this option will smoothen out jagged lines and edges in 2D drawing space.
Blocks
- Block name selection is now available in Scheme Explorer to help select and apply scheme presets to selection of Blocks.
Calculations
- Removed the setting for Automatic Update from the Calculation tab in the Control Panel.
Catalog downloader
- Catalogue Downloader updated to show completed On Demand downloads in the ‘Recently Completed’ section.
Project Info
- Added a warning dialog to the Project Info dialog when changes are made and exiting the dialog.
Photo lab and Rendering
- Added a new option to propagate Photolab settings to all other renderings in the render series
- Added a new scroll UI to better rotate the Panorama background in Photolab
UI Changes
- Not all tool buttons displayed text labels, leading to an inconsistent user experience. To improve clarity and usability, text has now been added to the following buttons:
- Insert Bracing
- Flat Bracket
- Extrude Surface
This update ensures consistent labelling across tools, helping users more easily identify and understand button functions at a glance. - Improved the Unrecognize Content dialog to correctly show which Extensions are needed to load a drawing.

- Fixed a problem where the Measure tool graphics would, in Orthographic 3D, change its scale depending on the distance to camera.
- Fixed a problem where small black dots appeared at the edge vertices of 3D custom shapes. These dots did not serve any functional purpose and could obstruct the user’s view, especially when zooming in closely.
With this fix, 3D shapes now render cleanly without unwanted visual artifacts, ensuring a clearer and more precise modeling experience. - Fixed problem with the Rotate widget in the middle of lines getting in the way, by simply removing it. It was rarely used, and rotating lines could be more easily achieved by grabbing the end-points.

- Fixed problem when drawing walls and entering a measurement in the length field would cause the angle of the wall to change when the inch symbol (") was typed.
- Fixed problem with missing tooltips in the Level Overview of the Architectural toolbox in the new UI, which now show the top and bottom elevation range when hovering over levels.
- Fixed problem where a label in the custom SIF order export window was incorrectly called "Settings ... Name". It has now been renamed to "Settings Name".
Fixed problem where the graphics of the 'Settings' button in the order export window would sometimes look broken. - Fixed problem where users were unable to type values larger than two digits in the “Extend Floor” and “Minimum Size” input fields. This limitation forced users to manually click the up arrows to increase the floor size, making it difficult to create larger floors for renderings. With this fix, users can now enter larger numeric values directly, allowing for easier floor adjustments and eliminating the visible hard line in renderings caused by small floor boundaries."
- Fixed problem where cycling through text objects to edit by using the Quick Text Editor tool and pressing TAB could sometimes cause it to target non-text objects.
- Fixed a problem where resizing text is not applying to elevation view.
CET Edition Specific Release Notes

- Added visual representations of the X/Y/Z planes when inserting Sketch Lines in Sketch & Build.
- The profile preview in the Sketch&Build extension can now be clicked to begin inserting it. Previously you would need to click the button below, and we found that many users instinctively click on the preview itself. The button below still works.
- Added support for Undo/Redo while inserting a Sketch Line in the Sketch&Build extension.
- In sketch lines it is now possible to set elevation during placement using the quick properties, making it easier to control height from the start.
- Updated the toolbox icon for "Flip" in the Sketch & Build extension to make it different from the "Mirror" icon.
- Improved the Preconfigurator by adding an additional column to better visualize frame modifications
- The maximum support bar height has been increased from 100 mm to 400 mm, and an option to use three runners instead of two has been added. This provides greater flexibility when configuring pallet racking systems.
- 3D dimensions now support configurable dimension styles, similar to 2D dimensions. Dimension styles created in the Style Editor are reflected correctly in Quick Properties and relevant editors.
- You can now continue inserting racking systems after completing an insert, without restarting the animation. Most configuration properties from the previous insert will persist, making it easier to place multiple racking systems efficiently.
Note: Certain properties such as Flip Front and Row Alignment are intentionally reset to avoid inconsistent behaviour. - Stretching a chute in single-selection mode will no longer cause connected conveyors to shift unexpectedly, resulting in more stable and predictable editing.
- Conveyor insert and rotate animations have been improved for smoother and more predictable behaviour. Rotations now occur around the correct end when using charge or discharge connectors. Long left mouse click during insert animation connecting a straight conveyor to existing conveyor will start stretching animation.
- Made further improvements to CollabPro by removing the redundant Duplicate feature and renaming ‘Duplicate as Alternative’ to ‘Duplicate as New Section’.
- Not all tool buttons displayed text labels, leading to an inconsistent user experience. To improve clarity and usability, text has now been added to the following buttons:
