Objects overlapping each other can be quite common in a drawing layout. You might, for example, place a pedestal underneath a table, or work with multiple levels. To make selection easier in such situations, use the tool Select object from a list of all beneath the cursor as described below.
To use this tool, follow these steps:
- Select the tool from the 2D or the 3D toolbar:
- Move the cursor to the drawing area. It will snap to and highlight objects in your view:
- Click once. A list of all objects beneath the cursor is presented. Click the object that you want to select:
The object is now selected in both the 2D and 3D views.
Ctrl + right click on an object also brings up the list of objects beneath the cursor.
If a certain object is not listed, it means it's too far away and you have to click closer to it.
