Commercial Interiors Library (CIL) data can be transformed and brought into Stage, allowing manufacturers to repurpose the content they already maintain for CET. By converting CIL models to the required CmSym format and publishing them through Catalogue Creator, this data becomes Stage-ready and instantly usable for web-based visualization, configuration, and quoting.
Here is the process of converting your Library data:
- Contact data@configura.com, request for ASCII catalog SIF Files for your desired catalog
- Using catalog creator Data Import tab, map the received files in step 1 to their corresponding fields to generate the catalog
Using the batch convertor, convert all models to cmsym format:
Go through the models to make sure that the super level is detailed enough, if not, drag the slider to make it look better.
Note: if the catalog is used in CET Extension as well, the same changes will apply there. Hence, it would be a good to strike a balance, to prevent affecting performance in CET:
Once done reviewing, select all files and set to reviewed in Batch Converter. Go to Project Tab in Catalogue Creator and set the Symbols Directory to the reviewed folder from Batch Converter.
The catalog should be complete at this point. If you are happy with the catalog, you can publish it from the publish tab in Catalogue Creator, along with the converted models and material files, if any.
Note: If this portfolio is not Stage enabled, go to MyConfigura > Project > Manufacturer > Catalogue > Portfolios page to enable it:
