Spec can generate and store large amounts of data over time. If you notice that Spec is taking up a significant amount of disk space, there are a couple of ways you can reduce its footprint without affecting your ability to work.

Move Catalogs to a Secondary Drive

While the Spec core program must remain on your C: drive, the manufacturer catalogs (which are typically the largest part of the installation) can be moved to a second internal drive.

Remove Unneeded Manufacturers Libraries

If you no longer need certain manufacturer libraries, you can uninstall them to free up space.

1. Open Notify

2. Select the catalog you want to remove.

   

3. Select Yes
