We recommend moving catalogs to a secondary internal drive in your PC.
Instability has been known to occur if the catalogs are placed in a network location or removable storage device (e.g. SD card, USB flash drive, external hard drive).

- Open CET
- Navigate to the File menu > Control Panel
- Navigate to the Catalogues tab of the Control Panel
Select Change next to Download Location:
Select the new secondary hard drive from the Folder prompt and click OK:
We recommend creating a new folder at the new location named "CETCatalogs" and mapping the new download location to that. That folder is not created by default.
After a new location has been selected, another prompt will appear. This prompt will allow you to validate the path to the new location. You will want to keep “Migrate existing files” checked. Press Apply and Restart when you are ready to migrate:
In the above example, the catalogs would be moved to the D: drive (another internal drive on the same computer) to free up space on the C: drive.
CET will then process the folder migration and restart. Once CET restarts again, confirm the catalogue location has changed by navigating to the Catalogue tab of the Control Panel again
