Steelcase and Configura have been collaborating to develop a new catalog data format that will significantly improve option availability and pricing accuracy. This new format will also be adopted by Steelcase's related manufacturers.
About
The primary purpose of this new format is to improve option and pricing accuracy during the specification process. These catalog sections are directly linked to Steelcase servers to allow immediate online access when updates are published. With portions of the catalogs being web-based, local installations will require fewer updates.
As a result, the Enterprise Code for Steelcase USA has changed from SCI to STC to align with other Steelcase products and streamline data exchange across systems.
Friendly Reminders
- Steelcase's catalogs will still require the users to run and update through Notify
- New catalog data format is currently only specifiable within Spec
- Make sure your device is connected to the internet when specifying to avoid errors
