Welcome to the 15.0 Minor QA Testing Guide, please check with your developer to make sure 15.0 Minor Migration is successfully completed (if any) before testing.
Bug fixes and improvements🪲
As with any other releases, we're trying to improve by ruling out as much bugs as possible in order to maintain that awesome CET user experience. Hence, these relevant bugs and changes were handpicked for your information, divided into different CET component areas.
Save/Load Related
Original filename not shown when drawing opened is 'Saved as'
Developers fixed a problem with the filename not shown when users choose to resave a drawing in a different name. The 'Save Drawing' dialog 'Filename' field will be blank which causes an inconvenience requiring a little more effort rather than a slight alteration to the original filename for revision purposes.
The 'Save Drawing' dialog
- Load any of the existing drawings that have been worked on, click on 'Save as' to bring up the 'Save Drawing' dialog. Verify that the 'Filename' field is prefilled with the original filename of the existing drawing open in CET.
- Ensure save / save as functionality for your drawings work as intended.

'Unfreeze all' feature is broken
Previously, there were reports of, specifically 'Unfreeze all' feature not being able to work at all. Affected users had to manually unfreeze individual snappers as a workaround, which takes up a lot of effort in a larger scale drawing. Follow these *test instructions below to ensure the fix works on your end.
It's summer! unfreeze and let the sun hit
- Using any of the existing drawings with frozen snappers, ensure 'Unfreeze all' is working through:
- CET menu bar, if you are on the:
- classic CET UI, go to 'Tools > Unfreeze All'.
- facelifted UI, go to 'Object > Unfreeze All'.
- Keyboard shortcut, default binding of 'Ctrl+Alt+E'.
- Make a selection of the frozen snappers and execute an 'Unfreeze' action, ensure all affected snappers can unfreeze.
- CET menu bar, if you are on the:
Navigates to wrong alternative from edit block space
This a facelift UI specific problem where users click on the 'Drawing' button, it sends them to the wrong alternative instead of the correct alternative where it originated. It's a navigation issue which means there no effects impacted to the block or the drawing. Ensuring this is fixed on your end, please follow these *test instructions:
The 'Drawing' button in the facelifted UI
- In a new drawing, create a few alternatives and blocks in each of them. Once entered into 'Edit block mode' (Normal block space or *Component block space), ensure clicking on the 'Drawing' button navigates to the correct alternative where it came from. For verification, ensure the changes made to the block are in the correct alternative.
ItemTags shown in wrong viewmode when using multiple drawings
Developers fixed a problem with a visibility inconsistency where item tags of snappers were shown in wrong viewmodes when multiple drawings were split using 'Drawings > Separate windows for each drawing'.
With the fix, the item tags will now be correctly in viewmodes it is supposed to. However, this only affects product snappers that have item tags in customized viewmodes, which does not apply to all manufacturer extensions.
Example of item tags shown in a specific viewmode, brought to you by FIKA office.
- Load a couple of drawings in CET, ensure multiple drawings is enabled and split the drawings using 'Drawings > Separate windows for each drawing' feature. All drawings open will be expected to split in separate windows, load another drawing in any of the window that has product snappers consisting of item tags (if any), ensure the item tags are shown in the viewmodes that it is supposed to.
- This includes the default manufacturer and custom viewmodes.

Exported PDF has large file size
A problem with the size optimization for exported PDFs has been fixed, where the vector PDF engine miscalculates the number of polylines, (which is common on curves found in chairs / desks) of the PDF in the backend, leads to a larger file size than usual when exported from CET to a PDF file.
With the fix in place, please try out these *test instructions and ensure the file size is reasonable according to resolution and not overly large than usual.
Here, you can tweak the PDF export resolution with these presets, higher DPI means clearer output
- In paperspace, generate a PDF export of a low and high DPI resolution. Ensure both of these exported PDF has a reasonable difference in file size. A high DPI export should yield a larger file size.
- With the different resolutions, please verify the correctness of the PDF to ensure no compromise in the content.
- Make sure with this fix, the performance of PDF export is not affected at all.
Revit
The *Revlink extension has been updated to support the latest Revit 2025. There are no changes introduced in terms of functionality and user interface to the Revlink extension. Older versions of Revit should still be supported. For manufacturers who are frequent users of this seamless Revit-CET integration, we highly recommend going these *test instructions to ensure it still works top notch for you.
Revit license extension, ensure you make 'Revlink' license administered to your myConfigura account.
- First off, ensure 'Revlink' license extension appear in the CET component tab. When clicked on, ensure the user interface has not changed and should look similar as above.
- Verify that the 'Import & Export' functionalities are still working as it should.
- Perform an 'Import Floor Plan from Revit'. Ensure you already have a layout that is created in Revit.
- Perform an 'Export Layout to Revit'.
- Create Family Files.

Old import settings are applied instead of new
Developers fixed a caching issue where there were some options that are not cached which caused old settings to apply to the DWG instead of the new. This affected some of the options but not all in the CAD settings dialog.
- Open CAD dialog, Import and Insert your desired CAD file as a 'Floorplan' and make sure it can be inserted into drawing successfully. Verify the correctness of the inserted CAD file against a CAD viewer (AutoCAD, etc).
- In the CAD dialog, tweak some settings in the 2D / 3D category and click on 'Apply', ensure the correct and not the old settings that are applied.
New features🆕
We're continuously improving in each releases to provide more features that brings more value into CET. Here's what you need to know, divided into different CET component areas.
Drawing Tools Related
Continuous walls
With the focus of minimizing mouse clicks and precision, we are introducing Continuous walls. Walls can now be placed continuously in a single animation precisely with the presence of drawing aids and other enhancements.
Continuous walls in the classic UI (Left) and facelift UI (Right)
When updated to 15.0 Minor, there should be a new 'Continuous wall' button alongside with the other walls. Upon a click, the *animation will start a wall which users can click to place continuously until the animation is stopped. The drawing aids present (can be turned off) will serve as a guideline to help users align with precision as it snaps to create a straight line.
A reference point can also be set by hovering cursor onto any objects which creates a crosshair with drawing aids, to further help users to align wall to the same axis / length across the straight line created by the reference point with the other walls or objects present.
Other enhancements include:
- A thick black line which denotes the side of wall that user is drawn on.
- Drawing aids made available to the non-continuous walls.
There is no test instructions for this feature, but we highly encourage trying out this feature when making your drawing.
The rotation threshold of the wall animation can be controlled through the 'Angle Step' dropdown in Wall settings.
Two click dimensions
With the everyday tool being used in CET, '2 clicks dimension' as the name hints, will ease usage of dimensions within the drawing, with only needing 2 clicks and has automatic adjustment of leg length. For consistency, the regular dimension will now be renamed to '3 clicks dimension' across CET in case you are wondering. It is only present in the drawing space, and will not be found in paper space.
The basic idea of this feature skips the manual adjustment of the leg length which is present in the last stage of animation in the old dimension. The automatic leg length works by detecting if there is enough space within the measured area at the same angle. If detected overlapped, it will be adjusted to be above or below depending on different cases.
It is estimated to save 3.182 minutes every hour when compared to the older 3 click dimension, we think!
- Try out '2 clicks dimension' on your product snappers, ensure:
- It is as accurate, compare measurement with the old dimension.
- Associativity works and has no unintended behavior.
- Verify that your customized styles for dimension is still applicable.
- Ensure key binding for shortcut works on your end. By default, there is none.
Elevation align and positioning tool
There is an improvement made to align tool where alignment with other elevated snappers in z-axis will be made possible. There will be 3 new options added in the 'Align and distribute' dialog.
Snappers off the ground can be aligned to the same elevation now
The positioning tool now supports locking pitch at 90 degrees where positioning at z-axis with precision is possible. Simply activate positioning tool and click to (Page up) to activate z-axis positioning.
Positioning snappers in the air with ease
Please follow these *test instructions below:
- Try out the 3 different align options on your manufacturer product snappers.
- 'Align top' aligns all snappers in selection to the highest detected elevation.
- 'Align bottom' aligns all snappers in selection to the lowest detected elevation.
- 'Align heightwise' aligns all snappers in selection in between the highest and lowest detected elevation.
- Ensure positioning tool works correctly to elevate your manufacturer product snappers at locked pitch at 90 degrees when (Page up) button is clicked. Manually inputting a value in 'Distance' field in the quick properties should work.
