A Multigraphic is a part that starts as an empty drawing, or with a base graphic, then is built up with each option selection chosen by the user. This "built up" process consists of the new DWG (option) being layered on top of the existing .dwg to create a more accurate graphic preview.
A few examples of parts that benefit from using Multigraphic layers include:
- Drawer pull styles
- Grommet location
- Cabinet locks
- Lumbar support
From the user's perspective, the 3D graphic preview updates accordingly with each option selected. For example, when the option to add a grommet is selected, the graphic updates and includes a grommet.
Again, because the program can only place a single block (2D and 3D), the Multigraphic layer creates a more accurate preview of the fully specified part.
