When you have transferred your drawing to Paper View, you have the possibility to edit settings for the viewport. The settings depend on whether you have transferred a 2D or a 3D drawing.
Settings for a 2D viewport
Select a 2D Viewport to make the properties box appear:
Properties box for a Viewport 2D
Here you will find a number of different options:
- Lock or Edit: When in Lock mode, the drawing has a lock symbol on it and the view cannot be changed. When in Edit mode, you can zoom, pan, and even make changes to the drawing in 2D. Locking a viewport does not lock it's position on the page, only the contents inside of the viewport.
Double click the edge of a viewport in Edit mode to lock it. Double click anywhere on a locked viewport to return to Edit mode. - Visibility: Choose View Mode (i.e. Panels, Electric etc.) is applied in the viewport. Use default View Modes, or create Custom View Modes. The hide individual categories using the Filter tab. Learn more about visibility and Viewports here.
- Elevation: The elevation of the viewport relative to other items on the paper.
- Frame: Add a Black frame or create a Custom frame to outline your viewport.
- Show scale: Print the scale in the lower right corner of the frame.
- Text size: Select the size of the scale text in the lower right corner of the frame.
- Black & White: Select the checkbox if you wish to show the drawing in black and white instead of the shaded colors. The viewport will appear black and white when locked and when printed, but will retain its colors when in Edit mode.
- Scale: Select one of the pre-defined scale options in the drop down menu.
- Free scale, 1: If you want a different scale than the ones specified in the above drop-down menu, state it in this input field. If in Free Scale and Edit mode of the Paper View, the Free Scale ratio will change as the view is zoomed in our out.
- Text scale: Change the scale of the text of labels or tags on the products themselves (i.e. panel sizes). This is for readability purposes only on the plans and does not apply to the Scale text, Text, or Label tool.
- Lock: Refers to how the image behaves as the viewport is stretched or shrunk using the yellow stretch points.
- None: You can stretch the viewport in any direction. The position of objects remains the same, so stretching or shrinking will include or exclude objects surrounding the original view. The scale remains in tact.
- Center: The image within the viewport will stay in the center. Stretching or shrinking will include or exclude objects surrounding the original view. The scale remains in tact.
- Rect: The viewport will keep its ratio when stretched. The image stays in the middle of the viewport. The scale may be adjusted when stretched.
